Why does cutting dubplates have to be so hard?
This is the question our founder, Jay Edwards, asked himself 15 years ago.
"I remember back in the day, I wanted a well-known artist to record a dubplate. After sending money via Western Union, the dubs never arrived. Another time, we received a recording with poor quality and mistakes. It seemed the only way to get a dubplate was through a 'man who knows a man.'
That’s when I realized there was no online presence or anyone taking responsibility for the security and quality of dubplate recordings.
From that point on, we went all-in, building and scaling reggaedubplates.com to bridge that gap. As we grew, I wanted to expand beyond reggae while staying true to its roots. This is how The Dubplate Factory was born, allowing us to work with artists across multiple genres and offer our clients a wider range of options while celebrating the culture we love.
Today, we collaborate with artists worldwide and have a team of studios and engineers from Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, Miami, LA, New York, Toronto, London, the UK, Europe, and beyond.
The three things I always guarantee in every service we offer are: Communication, Quality, and Security.

What does an order include?When receiving a dubplate price, it includes the studio time fee, a mastered dubplate file and the raw split audio file of the track. This is what we deliver to you. We quote in USD ($) unless stated. We also accept GBP (£) and CAD ($) if required. We will provide a video clip when the artist is willing to do so.

How to pay?The security of your money is important. We use Paypal for all of our transactions. You can use an existing account or checkout as a guest using any major payment card. By using Paypal you can guarantee that your money is protected during the process until you receive your dubplate.

How long does it take?Dubplates are not a standard "off the shelf" item. It is within our interest to get the dubplate back to you as soon as the artist has recorded it, this helps our workflow of daily orders coming in. We communicate throughout the whole process, whether it be within days or longer for certain sessions.

What information do I need to provide?To provide an accurate quote, we ask for as much detail as possible. Typically, this includes: Date of the event Country/Region Venue name Venue capacity Indoor or outdoor setting Track or live band performance Event name The more information you can provide, the better we can tailor our services to your needs.
